More About Me
From the tender age of 13, I began my journey into coaching, assisting a youth flag football team. An 8-year-old scoring their first touchdown under my guidance gave me an unparalleled sense of joy. At 18, the thrill of coaching a Special Olympics basketball team further cemented my interest, as I experienced immense satisfaction from the happiness of a special athlete’s parents when he scored his first basket. I moved on to coaching basketball at middle and high school levels, initially mistaking my love for sports coaching as my core passion. The true love, I discovered, was enabling individuals to be the best version of themselves.
Launching my career at the YMCA, I understood that sports were a mere conduit for my real passion – personal development. As I took on leadership roles within the YMCA, the joy of seeing individuals attain their goals and flourish professionally resonated with the joy I felt from coaching sports. For seven years, I nurtured my personal development and leadership skills, but as I reached 29, I craved more.
This desire led me to take a different path, which involved relocating to Tampa. Here, I met Jenna, who’s now my wife, and life seemed to be on a roll until the world came to a halt in March 2020. For the first time in many years, I stopped in my tracks, facing an uncertain future without an income and no contingency plan.
In the face of this uncertainty, I sought guidance from a coach, setting my life on an upward trajectory. I understood that my lifelong engagement with coaching and leadership development was an asset I already possessed. My skills and capabilities could serve people, and this realization fueled an obsession. I strongly believe in the transformative power of a good coach, especially for those who aim to achieve greatness.
One day, it dawned on me that our priorities have been skewed, jobs have been placed before life. I started restructuring my life, prioritizing it over work. Not only did my life improve, but surprisingly, my career flourished too. Recognizing the potential in this approach, I developed the ‘Life Work Balance’, emphasizing life before work. I started offering one-on-one coaching to clients seeking to enhance their performance in their business or career, or those eager to start a new venture. This culminated in the launch of ‘High Achievers’, a dynamic mastermind group for men from across the country. We connect, grow, learn, and assist each other in achieving our goals.
Away from my professional life, I am a sports enthusiast, an avid reader, and a podcast lover. I enjoy maintaining my fitness through running and workouts. My wife, Jenna, and our golden retriever, Champ, complete our family. We cherish our life together in Tampa Palms, surrounded by friends and family.
